Windows .exe Allocating RAM

Wassup, I'm using I think 6GB or 8GB ram at the moment but can only allocate 1GB of it to FTB Unleashed? Whereas actual Minecraft 1.7.3 I can allocate like 4GB, please help???

You are using 32bit java. You need to remove all other versions and install the x64 one from here.

I also should have said when you do go to options and set the ram to 2GB.
