Details of the issue:

I have allocated 12.5 GB of my 16 GB of RAM to FTB, but when I use F# in minecraft it says that it is only using all of 1979 MB or allocated RAM.​

That's waaaaaay too much RAM allocation, I don't quite remember how much is needed for a large pack like infinity but I think it was around 6GB?

Should this fix my problem though? If I allocate that much RAM, shouldn't the game atleast use some of that amount?

The game uses as much as it needs. allocating more then it needs you will get lower fps. allocating not enough will cause crashes.
You probably only need 4GB and you may be able to get a way with 2GB

I lowered my RAM, still showing that Minecraft is using 100% of 1979 MB even though I have 4 GB allocated
