All packs not loading

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Title All packs not loading

Launcher Type Curse App

Modpack All

Modpack version

Have you modified the pack? No

Link to log file

Details of the issue I recently got a new computer and every time I try to play FTB packs they will not load.

What happens is I press the Launch button and the pack opens, but it stops and does not progress. The console and data that shows how the pack is loading completely freezes. The line of code the freeze happens on is not an error, or if there is it does not show up in the console.

This problem happens in every single pack on both the FTB launcher and the Curse launcher. I can't get my head around it...

try opening the config file, look for splash, open it with notepad and change enabled=true to enabled=false

Could it be something on your end? like an antivirus blocking it from running?

Perhaps. It does run on another computer I have but I prefer to use this one. How would one test this by unblocking it?

EDIT: It appears I cannot load vanilla Minecraft from the official launcher either. It gives me a message that says:
"The registry refers to a nonexistent Java Runtime Environment installation or the runtime is corrupted.
The system cannot find the path specified."

EDIT #2 I downloaded a new Java and vanilla MC will open and run. However it's extremely laggy even with lowest settings. I would think that it would at least run okay on a good PC like mine since there are no mods. There is still no change to FTB packs on both Curse and the FTB launcher.

What are your system specs? Also a log would help.

Processor: Intel Core i7-6500u 2.5GHz
Graphics: NVIDIA Geforce 920M
8 GB Memory

I also have a bad Wifi which cuts out every once in a while.

Log here (ignore the last line, that was me trying to upload to pastebin) The launcher completely freezes after "Removed 0 missing texture stacktraces. Tada!

UPDATE:
After waiting over half an hour, the screen advances from the "Mojang" screen to the "Welcome to Regrowth" screen (I'm trying to play Regrowth atm) however it is fully frozen and will not respond.

Updated log here:

Please upload your logs to either pastebin or ftb paste.

Is that better?

So, this is the log for the FTB Launcher, running the Regrowth modpack. It reaches the "Welcome to Regrowth" page but is non-responsive.
Note that there is a gap of half an hour between two lines of code (20:58:48 to 21:28:00) The screen changes from "Mojang" to "Welcome to Regowth" during this time. So far I have not waited for this outcome through other packs but I suspect it will simply give the opening screen with no response.
