all modpackt are running at 4 fps

okay so i play ftb unleashed but my game has all of a sudden started running at 4 fps and is unplayable. I tried the other packs but it is the same. I am on OS X 10.10, with java 8. i am using version 1.4.4 of the launcher. here is the log when i start ftb unleashed:

Not sure, but looks like you're trying to run Minecraft 1.5.2 with Java 1.8. I don't think that's going to fly. Perhaps downgrading your java to 1.7 again will help in your case?

4 FPS actually gives you a gaming experience which is six times as cinematic as cinema!

Jokes aside, maybe your graphics card drivers have insufficient support for OpenGL?

The log starts talking about open GL near the end there, maybe that has something to do with it?
