All modpacks crash MacOS Sierra

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Details of the issue I've fully updated java and installed MacOS Legacy java drivers. Every modpack i've tried crashes and give the same ting. Vanilla loads and runs without issue. MacOS Sierra 10.12.4 but has happened on past versions and just now seeking support. Any insight or direction would be appriciated.

No, you are not.

[FML]: Java is Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM, version 1.6.0_65, running on Mac OS X:x86_64:10.12.4, installed at /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk/Contents/Home

I'll restart and see if that helps on that front but I did just run the latest updates and in the past java hasn't required a restart of the overall OS in my experience.

I ended up having to manually uninstall the jdk I had installed at some point and the previous install of java and then reinstall the current version fresh. I think it's good now but it's still loading the kids. Further than it was before. Thank you for putting me in my place on this one. I didn't respond initially the best way.

Hey man, don't worry. You're not the first person to assume that the last Java version that you installed is also the version that Minecraft uses and you probably won't be the last. :)
