Agrarian Skies Classic Skyblock Maps

Someone asked about the Yogscast LP and where to get that specific map. I was also asked by someone to create a custom map for them for this mod-pack. I thought I would share a set of maps that I made for this pack in varying difficulties based on the classic skyblock look. I used the flat platform map as a base so all of the Thaumcraft nodes are still there and the surrounding biomes are the same. Click the spoilers for images. Let me know if you have any problems with the links to download or loading the map in general. Should not be any problems as I tested downloading each map, unzipped and loaded them up to make sure there was not any problems. I suggest typing the command "/jspawn set" to set your spawn first upon loading any of these maps especially the OMGFU version as you will mosy likely fall to your death very quickly :p Requires the Agrarian Skies mod-pack.

Please consider these maps open source and I make no additional claims to them. You may re-distribute, modify or even claim them as your own. I don't mind :p

The classic normal has a 3x3x3 block of dirt with a pre-grown tree. All of the normal items are included in a chest in addition to 2 water source blocks. Some may find this map easier than the flat platform or the home sweet home since you get a jump on dirt blocks and you get a pre-grown tree.

Classic Easy is the same as Normal except you get some extra bonemeal, flint, water and a free cheeseburger. Enjoy!

Classic Hard has 50% less dirt, 33% less bonemeal, 25% less flint and only 1 water source block.

Classic Brutal has 80% less dirt, 66% less bonemeal, 50% less flint and NO water source block. You will have to wait for rain to get water.. Oh and watch your step :p

Classic OMGFU has only a single dirt block to start, 85% less bonemeal, 75% less flint and NO water source block. You will have to wait for rain to get water.. Your first goal is to not fall into the void! Not for the faint of heart :p Oh and you start at night instead of the morning for that extra creepy feel! Good luck surviving more than a few days on this one. You better have a tight starting strategy to get established :p Be careful with that limited bonemeal. You better save back 7 pieces for a crucible or you will have to farm some skeletons before you can get a cobble gen going.

I hear ya. I thought about taking my personal starting map and calling it Impossible, but I felt it would just look like a copy of Teddy Bear's map that he made. I think *most* players would find the OMGFU version impossible anyways :p

My single player one I did a block of obsidian and a chest with the most basic materials ( one dirt ) also I turned off natural health regen. Though I did help myself out a bit and kept it on peaceful till I had some good stuff.

Does anyone have any pointers toward how to set the 3x3 dirt map for a server? We automatically get the home sweet home and want more of a challenge :p

You would have to replace the files in the world folder with the files from the map that you want to play. If you want to use the default multiplayer map because it has a "hub", then you would need to replace the individual player platforms with the 3x3 dirt platform in creative mode or use McEdit.

When creating a quick custom map, I personally make a new world in creative mode so I don't fall to my death immediately, and use an angel block to have something to build off of.

if you want to stay in survival and not fall to your death launch the world pause it as soon as you spawn in go into mc edit and set a locked chest with the id of a cloud below you (simply type the id when you search for blocks in mcedit) then when you spawn in you fall on the cloud and you can just do the open to LAN cheats on trick.

It won't rain it won't rain for Zeus's sake why do all these maps use the official flat map for the biomes and start you off in the middle of a desert biome and even if I leave the biome and wait in a forest biome for hours it still never freaking rains.

I swear, it's like the official flat map has natural weather disabled.

Did you use a bed to skip a night? It should rain within the first few nights as long as you do not use a bed.
