I'm looking to move on to the 1.6.4 packs! I really like Unleashed and the mod it has to offer, but my world completely messed up today so I figured I'll try something new!

Which pack is the closest to Unleashed tech-wise?

The successor to Unleashed will be Monster, but I don't believe it's been made publicly available yet - still being tested.

If you'd like to start exploring all the new changes in 1.6, I'd probably recommend going with the Direwolf pack until Monster is released.

Monster is out now, but it's in beta, which means probably a new world when it goes live. I'm enjoying playing in Horizons myself. The change from Unleashed is rather refreshing. Direwolf20 is also similar to Unleashed though.

Yeah I would agree on waiting on settling down in another world for good until Monster is out of beta. Quite a few things are still missing which will require worldgen. And from a bit of personal testing, it could probably still use a bit of balancing.
