Windows .exe After i update my client it doesn't open

after being away from ftb for a little while, i had logged into my client and told that i have an update to the ftb ultimate pack, after i downloading the update, i had tried launching the game, but the launch button was still greyed out. i don't know how to solve the problem

I'm pretty sure the Minecraft servers are down right now.
 
oh ok i just got the message from the client, thanks! hopefully after it should work
 
oh it was box that appeared and it told me about the servers being down, it said to go to help.mojang.com
 
well i tried to get back on after minecraft went back online and it still did the same thing so i'm stuck again
 
yeah i know, but i still can't get on. basically here's what i do, i open the launcher, i go to the ultimate pack and i click launch, then nothing happens after that.

Have you tried closing the launcher and opening it again?
