after being away from ftb for a little while, i had logged into my client and told that i have an update to the ftb ultimate pack, after i downloading the update, i had tried launching the game, but the launch button was still greyed out. i don't know how to solve the problem

I'm pretty sure the Minecraft servers are down right now.
oh ok i just got the message from the client, thanks! hopefully after it should work
What message? I'm not getting a message, the console just says Logging in, but it doesn't do anything.
The servers are up again, you should be able to play now.well i tried to get back on after minecraft went back online and it still did the same thing so i'm stuck again
yeah i know, but i still can't get on. basically here's what i do, i open the launcher, i go to the ultimate pack and i click launch, then nothing happens after that.
Have you tried closing the launcher and opening it again?

What does it say in the Console when you click launch?
it says mc = class net.minecraft.client.Minecraft
That doesn't seem wrong. Check your profile, make sure your password, and account, and everything is correct.
Force update it. If that doesn't work, post the console log to pastebin.com and link the paste here.yeah everything is there.
