Problem After downloading the FTB classic launcher recieved a blue screen of death and lost all files.

10-20 minutes ago a friend of mine downloaded the FTB classic launcher. When he opend it to run it it caused a blue screen of death. After restarting his PC all his files where deleted and the PC had a factory reset he now cant even acces the internet because all of his drivers are gone. What can be the cause of this? I downloaded the exact same program and ran it after with no issue. If anyone knows how I can help, or what might have caused this, please let me know. I would appriciate any help or suggestions you can give me.
 
The issue your friend is having is not related to FTB Classic Launcher, it's either faulty software or faulty hardware.

A blue screen does not cause a machine to be factory reset - if there was a reset, contact the reseller or vendor for further support.

Checking event logs on the OS could also be a good next step.

Either way, it's not FTB related.
