Summary of the problem AE2 Import / Export Buses

What is the bug? I've built a pretty large AE2 System, but nothing I've created in other modpacks that is as large.
I'm at a stage now where the import / export buses stop working intermittently. I'm on a SP world and have 8G allocated to t he game. I have other modpack attached such as storage drawers,
Just wondering if there is a limit as to how large the AE2 system can be built.
