Ae2 derping

Hi all. Im not really newby to AE but can't figure this one out. I have an AE2 system, with a MAC working fine, can autocraft items fine, but, can't figure out how in code a pattern, to smelt IE sand to glass. Had ender io alloy Furness with crafting bus, but trying to incode the pattern, just gives me the message invalid pattern. Please help!

Ender io furnace makes quiet clear glass when set to alloy/smelt or just alloy. Set it on smelt, that might help.
If not, place an interface against the furnace and just place your pattern there. Interfaces always work

Problem though is the patterns won't craft try to lace sand in the pattern terminal It won't return glass try to place glass in the return slot it won't accept it. Crafted the pattern terminal block and that works but gives me an invalid pattern and it won't accept in the me interface

Set the pattern terminal to processing pattern mode, by clicking the crafting table icon.
