I currently have 6 groups of 6 ME-Drives. Each group has a unique colored smart cable going to a dedicated ME-Controller. The ME- Controller multi-block is made of 8 ME-Controllers. I can connect 4 of any 4 smart cables up fine. Once a fifth one is connected the system drops.

Any suggestions on how to connect to 40+ ME-Drives? What am I missing?

Can you post ta screenshot of your setup?

Here is a screenshot of where I have connected 3 groups connected with p2p tunnels and three groups with individual cables using dense cable.
Note that smart cable is able to transfer 8 channels and dense cable, p2p tunnel and each controller face 32 channels. Each drive uses one channel. http://imgur.com/expgh7h
