So I have the auto-crafter set up to use the following recipe to create RE-Batteries as part of the process for making geothermal generators.

When I go to craft the geothermal (or even the normal generator for that matter) it won't auto-craft the battery. It just sits there. I have to create the batteries separate, which the auto-crafter does with no problem.

Any idea what could be the problem, and if there is even a work around?

the problem is likely a misconfigured ME interface or recipe. can't tell without seeing the rest of the machines and interfaces involved in the process.

At the moment no interfaces are setup because none are needed.

I have recipes set up to make cutters, and hammers as needed, which takes care of the wires and casing). I have more than enough rubber to turn wire into cable. The recipe I have above is the exact one my auto-crafter has. I can have it make the battery separate just fine. Just when it comes to making the generator it screws up :(

something else is borked somewhere, then. i don't see a reason this recipe shouldn't be able to be autocrafted.

more pics/information is required to help you further.

edit: hah, I guess I never have that problem because I do it the old school way, crafting every step as I go.

You most likely shift+clicked the battery recipe in from the NEI directly. If you do so the recipe output(the battery) will show the wrong ID. Therefore the recipes needing the battery cannot find the proper recipe. Make a RE-battery manually and use it to overwrite the output of the recipe to make it have the proper ID. This goes for all charge based IC2E items.

So basically, like my link... :) But without the 'search the forum' notification.

Yeah, except we told the dude the problem instead of saying "hey, read my thread, we found the solution!" as though telling them the answer is in your thread changes the fact they asked for it in this one.

Don't get me wrong, if people would use the search function to check if anyone else has had a issue they're having... you wouldn't have made that thread and asked for answers either.

Only thing I could say in my defense is 1/2 the time when I use the search function, what I am seeking isn't at the top, or hell even the first few pages. Much easier to ask the question on a separate thread, get the email alert when someone replies, and go on to fix the issue. Rather than search multiple posts for something that may not be what I am looking for to begin with.

Honestly I have given up on the Forum search function. It is horrible. Even if I know the title of the thread, who wrote it etc. and filter it in, it wont find it properly. Use google instead. The forum is getting cashed incredible fast(have experienced someone posting a thread about something I didn't know what was, then googling it only to find the forum thread that was just made minutes ago).

i mean, screw the forum search function, some people won't even read a thread they're posting in before posting in it.

right @rhn?

Honestly lost track of who is scolding who for doing what. But if this is directed to me as if I didn't read the thread before I posted my first reply, then you are wrong. I read the reply including a link to another thread where someone was having the same problem. But tbh I thought it would just be easier for the OP(and anyone else who might later find this thread through searches) that I explained the problem/solution in less than 2 lines, than it was for them to have to go through several posts of speculation and rather vague solutions...
