Uninstall the latest version and install previous version (before 3.3.3).

Since it was a balance change the mod author is not going to add a config for it and it is not getting changed back. So your only option is to adapt and find other power sources that meet your needs.

Sorry to say this but their is no config setting and you would know this if you looked at the mod's config file or read more then the first few posts in that thread.
