Is it possible to add this or some of it's mods to an existing modpack? has anyone gotten it to work? Or is it even worth the time, i'm not sure what all in UE would make other mods obsolete...seems like this mod would be the way of modding minecraft going forward...creating a much more cohesive mod pack.

There shouldn't be any problem adding it, besides changing any conflicting item IDs, which is the fairly standard course when adding mods. Good luck, and enjoy yet another power system!

I have it in my custom modpack. One thing to look out for is that (Mekanism?) has insanely easy-to-get Steel (just surround an Iron Ingot with Coal or Charcoal and smelt it.)

easy?
It just costs 8 times the coal that it would with Railcraft.

I am not sure if I am willing to pay 7 coal to spend less time in the burner.

Sorry, should've been more clear. My point is, Steel is a lot easier to get early in the game (and Charcoal's pretty easy to manufacture,) making earlygame higher tier stuff a lot easier.

Did you forget "or charcoal"? It does use twice the charcoal of a railcraft blast furnace, but the time savings balances that.

A properly piped up vanilla furnace and a SC farm is infinite charcoal, better effeciency with better furnaces

I'm so confused about steel in UE. It seems like there are 3 ways to make it and none of them are quite right.

Did youou have to change any IDs to add it? My concerns then would just be getting the modpack to my few friends who play with us as well...I was thinking of copying the FTB data folder and modpack folders and then they could use the launcher and have all the custom config already and not have to really change anything...would be sweet if ultimate had it...well I say that but I don't really know if the things in UE are cooler or the same or what...
