Adding sounds in game? (Ambient-music etc)

Would it be possible to add sounds in game, through a block of some kind?

I would like the sound/music to be heard by other players from a certain distance.

The point of this is to add a sound theme to my base, i'm currently building the "Citadel" from Half life 2, and i want ambient sounds playing in my base. Is it possible?
