Adding Mods to the Packs server side?

How would someone add a Mod to the Modpacks server side? I.E, if my friend wanted to Add SecretRooms to the Mindcrack pack for a multiplayer server, how would he do that?

It's not possible unless installed client side too, which some have trouble doing as well. I would help but it is easy to do but hard to explain in my case

Assuming that it has been done client side as well, how would he go about installing it for the server as well?

Just follow the install instructions on the mods thread. Minecraft forums, where most mods are posted requires you tell people how to install the mods.
