a way to stop force updates on the .jar?

i keep having a problem on my direwolf20 pack wich i should have found a fix for.
but i cant try this out because the launcher keeps force updating my .jar to 1.4.6
since the fix is in 1.4.7(its a fix for the mystcraft crash problem)
so maby enable a option so you can disable that forced updating?

I am also having this issue, I want to update my server to the v3 of the modpack, but the hotfix for the crash only works with an earlier version of forge and the version that it was fixed in requires 1.4.7, the launcher keeps force updating the jar back to 1.4.6. It seems the only way to get the updates to work will be with multiMC since this launcher forces the minecraft.jar file to be 1.4.6
