A Sorting Machine Gone Wrong... For No Reason :O

So I set up the sorting system using some pneumatic tubes, ender chests, the works. Basically I went with a simple set up so I can branch off for bigger works if I need too. Everything from quarries and my pouch goes into my Enderchest (Black Purple Black) and goes through the simple sorting machine. Everything works fine except for the stuff I have marked to go to the all black enderchest (Pneumatic tube black as well). This goes through a scrap system. The scrapping system is as follows: Enderchest, Wooden Tube, Two Hoppers into Recycler(powered), into wooden tubes, golden tubes, diamond chest, wooden tubes, golden tubes, into Matter Fabricater, into Wooden Tubes, into the main enderchest (black, purple, black) .

The wording above is kind of rough, so I hope I explained the system well enough. I know the sorter wont send an item unless it has somewhere to go, but I am confused as to why it wont send it now. The sorter was working fine for my ore processing branch which also uses an enderchest loop like the scrap branch I made. I just dont understand if there is some bug I dont know about? Something that doesnt allow me to use the Matter Fabricator?

Something on your system is full.
The only (and I mean only) way for a Sorting Machine to get stuck is if there is nowhere for something to go.
Which means something is full.

From what you said I gather that your UU matter is going into your main Ender Chest. What happens to it then? Is it going back to the recycler?

You probably need to follow a piece of cobble through the process and see where it gets stuck, then work it out from there.

Basically any cobble goes from enderchest black purple black into a sorter, the sorter sends it to the all black enderchest, that chest sends the cobble into a recycler and then a matter fab, that UU matter then goes back into the black purple black enderchest and through the sorter once more, which sends it up to my barrels

I double checked everything, it all works fine on the scrapping side, the sorter literally just wont send it

Place a barrel just under the tube coming out of your sorting machine. It will give the next item in sorting machine a place to go. This will do two things. One it will un-jam the machine, two it will tell you exactly what item was causing the jam. Fix the issue then remove the barrel.

Sounds like your sorting machine's been fed something that it has no destination for. You won't be able to see this item, as it's stored internally (and invisibly) in the sorting machine block.

Henry Link's solution should fix it. To prevent the problem from happening again, you could connect a dump chest to your sorting machine set to accept "everything else" that doesn't have a prescribed path.

I fixed the issue. For some reason, the sorter will not send it to my scrapping line through the sorter. You guys all proposed viable solutions but they were not for my problem, it wasnt a specific item. There is a bug, so I am going to try and get this fixed on the bugs/issue page. I fixed the problem easily just by using a filter. Instead of sending the scrapped materials through a colored destination, I just made a filter to pick all the scrapped materials off the main line.

So you're saying that you created a new path for the lost items to exit the pipe system?
