You see and hear a lot of people building bigger reactors than they need and then wanting to convert them to actively cooled with multiple turbines. Now I have never needed more than 1 turbine so I typically plan to go straight to that with a little 7x7x3 reactor. But I've been inspired and as a proof of concept I am in the process of building a 17x17x17 reactor supporting 33 turbines in direct contact with it to avoid the problems of piping water & steam back and forth. This is the design I will be testing: http://br.sidoh.org/#reactor-design...X3DXD8G2D3X2D8G2DXDX2D8G2D3X2D8GDX3DXD9G5D65G
According to the simulator (actual numbers will more than likely vary somewhat) I can get more steam with more diamond blocks instead of graphite, but I can't get enough steam with fewer fuel cell columns. Photos when I'm finished.
