A Proper setup for steves carts tree farm

I have no idea how to get the carts to use the cargo manager... they pass by it and the arrows in the gui light up but it doesn't actually do anything.

Put an advanced detector rail next to your cargo manager.

You have to set the cargo manager to the colour the side the cart passes on the cargo manager is and also set what it is pulling to the right type of item, it is a little hard to explain properly unfortunately.

Turns out I forgot to click the arrows in the GUI so that they drew from the cart instead of the manager... derp.

Anyone know which saplings you can't use in this? I'm thinking you probably can't use jungle saplings for a steve's carts tree farm or atleast not with my current setup

You can use all vanilla saplings. Jungle Saplings work, but they will grow the 9 block tall single block trunked ones, as opposed to the 30 block tall double block trunked ones.
