Just wanted to share a modpack Idea that came up in my head after watching some folks play seablock:rustic waters.

A stoneblock-eque modpack involving being in an ever expanding dungeon, like the ability to unlock rooms in seablock: rustic waters, players would have to unlock more rooms in the dungeon and clear out the threats as they complete the modpack's quests.

The goal? To finally escape the dungeon by completing all the quests and reaching the very end at the lowest level of the dungeon!

The dungeon in question would be inspired by Legend of Grimrock's dungeon.(Anyone ever played that game? It was a very good game!)

Any thoughts?

Tartarus.. I mean at work. Same thing really.
Sounds neat- can I throw my own twist into the mix?
The dungeon walls are made of an unbreakable (for the player's current level) block with a low blast resistance- so the only way into new rooms is via explosives.

Blowing a hole and entering the breech is quite satisfying in its own right, but it also ramps up the anticipation since you don't know whats on the other side.
Did I break a cache and need to run in and grab the goodies? Or am I about to get swarmed by spiders and need to retreat?

Also blowing a big hole in the wall makes it a lot harder to cheese the dungeons by poking/shooting through a 1 block gap.

The idea is that the dungeon would already be indestructible, a mod similar to the redstone lock blocks in seablock:rustic water would be a mechanic, effectively building more of the dungeon as you progress, the blocks that build each room area would require certain items to activate, while not an explosion it would serve the same purpose of having no cheesing!

Another modpack idea I wanted to share but would rather not make a new thread.

A "Paywall Quest" modpack, where the player only has access to the vanilla game content at the start, in order to gain access to mods the player has to acquire a currency item called a "Modder's Token".
The player would trade in Modder's Tokens to unlock access to mods, Modder's Tokens would be obtainable by various means in the game, from trading to slaying enemies to completing tasks or advancements.

The modpack idea is inspired by the game DLC Quest, where the player collects coins and purchases "DLC" with them to progress in the game. Just a silly parody modpack idea.

Ha! I quite like that actually :D With GameStages you could actually make it so mobs relevant to a mod are only unlocked when that mod is unlocked, like TE elementals for example.
