For Minechem

Is there a way to filter radioactive components into lead chests (to keep the timers from ticking)? If not, what other ways for automation would there be?

For Applied Energistics

Is there a way to remove the channel limitation for me? I play mostly single player, and I'd rather not have the added work of extra buses, and p2p. Any way?

Do you have Refined Relocation in your pack? (btw you should clarify what mods you have to work with here). You can use sorting chests to get anything with the string "radioactive" in it, and then pull the contents out of that into the lead chest.

I assume you mean AE2, and as far as I know, no. You'd need to downgrade to the last version. For what its worth, the channel thing is a lot of fun once you wrap your head around it
(although of course not for everybody).

Theres a config option to disable channels. Its going to be a boring episode when Direwolf is forced to rearrange his rats nest of cables.

Refined Relocation, what do you mean ... Do you mean I can sort items based on the "strings" in the item description? My apologies on the mods ... thought I had that listed, it's the DW pack with a few others added (such as MineChem;))

That rats nest as you so eloquently put it is why I was wondering. I dabbled around in it once, and was fine, but since I reset my world, I'd rather play the way we all had before 1.7.10 rolled out, and use the resources on other projects. Not that it was overly expensive, cause it wasn't.

Yessir. I'm sure other mods do this, but that's the one I'm familiar with. It has a bunch of predesigned sorting criteria, but you can also sort by strings in the item description afaik. If necessary you could make a list of all radioactive elements and sort by that instead, but you wouldn't need RR for that, you could do that with any mod that allows filtering by item (such as enderio conduits)

I believe that the phrase that you're looking for is probably "NBT data", though it might not be, usually depends on how the mod's programmed.

I'll have to take a look at the RR mod, and the filtering (might be able to do it either way). Only question I have is what protection suit does minechem offer? I died last night handling one of the elements. Would any old hazmat suit work?

Side not, I was just playing around in a test world, and found that the chemicals can be stored in "extra cells" fluid cells, suspending their timers. I drained Plutonium into the system after a minute ticked off. Then I drained it back out into a cell. The timer had reset. The only thing that is a shame is they're not stackable, presumably due to different NBT data, but it is another way to store things. The major downside in all of this is only 5 types can be stored per fluid cell, so they can hold a lot of fluid. Not sure there is a way to make it to where more types can be held, or if the mod author has plans for that.

Learn something new everyday, lol ;) .

I thought minechem had its own, you should google that because I forget :\ i've died a few times myself but clearly not enough to do anything about it.

Phrasing confused me a bit here because you said "only" 5 types, but then "so they can hold a lot of fluid." BTW I take it you're talking about the AE2 addon extra cells. I'd be nervous to try this trick myself but glad if its working for you!

By 5 types, I mean only 5 unique fluids. But each vial worth of a particular chemical, is only a small amount, which is where the "a lot of fluid" comes in. I was nervous myself, which is why I tried a test world first, cause if it crashed, I could just delete, and go back to the drawing board. There are almost 300 unique elements in minechem, so at an absolute maximum, that's a lot of ME drives. But it would be a bigger build on down the line as I decide to mess with the mod more.

You should be able to place a storage bus on a lead chest, format the bus to only keep the radioactive things in it, it will also show up in the ME system, but will actually be in the lead chest
