A Little Twofer here. BC/Portal and a GT question.

So first off, I had a little glitch happen. I was using a quarry, and near the bottom, just for fun, I used the Portal Gun to move ores out from under bedrock so that the quarry would pick them.
Somehow, this ended up making the quarry break the bedrock.
I haven't yet been able to replicate, but now I have a piece of bedrock to place if I really wanted to...

If someone can figure out how to reliably replicate - large quantities of bedrock when you want.

Sounds like your rockcutter hit 0 power. Don't do that, it has an old bug where items at 0 power will not accept a charge.

As for the quarry, if I had to guess, you were holding the other block a little down into the bedrock. The quarry saw the ore, instead of the bedrock because it was higher. The quarry tried to grab it, but the actual block in that location was the bedrock.

All of that is a guess though, as I have personally not had that happen. ATM I need to have portalgun uninstalled so I can't test this either.

I know how to break the roof of the nether, but to actually get bedrock, delicious.

I wish I had record on at the time, because I can't seem to get it again... I just spent half an hour with a cobble generator to keep the quarry running, moving blocks randomly around bedrock level...
