A little help here

Whenever i try to download the mod pack through the Feed the Beast Launcher it always tells me that there is a new update available and the mod pack is outdated. It proceeds to ask me if i would like to update and i say sure. Then a progress bar pops up for the mods being downloaded but it never changes and seems to just be frozen. Also sometimes when i close this window it runs then extracts a Minecraft.jar file then i get launched into a vanilla game, no mods installed. Assistance would be fucking amazing because I've downloaded both the exe and jar files off of the Feed the Beast site and launched it with firewall on and off many times. please help

When you re-download the the exe, have you first gone through your system and completely deleted the current FTB you had?

What logs are showing in the console? Showing those would be fucking amazing in providing assistance

ya i go into %appdata% and delete the existing files before redownloading
