2 players server direwolf20: RAM

Hello there!

I apologize in advance if my question has already been answered somewhere (pretty sure), but I tried searching and found nothing.

I'm willing to set up a server for 2 players with the direwolf20 1.6.4. mod pack.
I still do not understand how much RAM I should get.


Got any suggestions?

You might be able to run it comfortably on 1GB or 1.5GB of RAM, but I'd be looking at 2GB just to be safe.

I'd go for 2GB too. We're running a 4GB server for a few more people and it's running great.

I've comfortably had 20 people on a monster server running on 4GB of RAM, only using around 3GB and maintaining over 19.5 TPS which is the same as with 1 player on, although there's more to a minecraft server other than ram.

I'm running a private FTB pack with I think 120 mods, it's set to use 4gb of ram, but the host has 20gb. We have 5 or 6 people on it running very comfortably. I think you'll be fine with 2gb of RAM.
