Open 2.4.2: Game Crashing Bug

What is the bug:
When looking at the witherproof block from enderio with the Thaumometer from Thaumcraft, the game freezes then shuts down. Leaving the world unusable for the player.

Can it be repeated:
Place Witherproof block in world.
Look at block while holding thaumometer.
Game crashes.

Known Fix:
NO KNOWN FIX BESIDES LOADING BACKUP

If you are playing on singleplayer updating EnderCore should fix it. If you can't or don't want to update it:
You should be able to fix it by removing your player.dat file, this will remove all items from your inventory.
You could also use an NBT editor to remove the thaumometer from your inventory.
If you play on a server you could ask someone to teleport you somewhere when you log in.
