Open 2.4.2: FTBU is deleting the backup immediately after creating it

What is the bug:
I messed up my (used NEI delete with shift-click by mistake and wiped out a quarry chest and my own inventory.

I looked for the FTBU backups, but could not find any recent ones.

Looking in the logs (as I had been seeing regular backups) to confirm the backup location and found that it was creating the backup files, then deleting them a second later.

The relevant portion of my config (unchanged from defaults) is:

Checking the logs this occurs every backup, so Yes.

Known Fix:
Apart from "use a different backup mod", None.

Oh dear, I've been searching for my backups to no avail and looking for some support but again nothing is out there.

I've now checked my logs and also have this same problem! Please solve as this seems like a major issue to be open for over a month!

Use a script to backup your files until FTBUtil is fixed I suppose.
