Version:
2.2.2

What is the bug:
One of the players on my server found that it doesn't matter what level of power you put into an IC2 machine they do not blow up from as an example mfsu direct to electric furnace. To test that this is not server based I tried in SSP and it was the same

Mod & Version:

Paste.feed-the-beast.com log:

Can it be repeated:
yes smp and ssp

Known Fix:

It is not classic IC2 for minecraft 1.4.7. Explosions are disabled in IC2 Experimental.
So you can wire your machines any way you want.

is there a way to change it so they behave like classic?
Replace IC2exp with Speigers IC2 Classic (not sure if Immibis version has it too) or add Aroma Uncomplication (Aroma1997core required).
I would suggest to add the Aroma Uncomplication because it won't break recipes (especially in Expert mode) whereas IC2 Classic would.

USE AT OWN RISK
Go into the IC2.cfg file and near the end set the false to true.
Code:
; Use the new highly experimental current + voltage energy net model with energy loss.

; Only set this to true if you know what you are doing.
useLinearTransferModel = false

If you want loss/a proper E-net just use Aroma's addon. The linear E-net is a mess (highly experimental is a fair description) and you'll end up with EU appearing and disappearing randomly at cable junctions, not to mention the lack of explosions/melting if you use too high voltages/current anyway. Player's been too busy to work on it recently and a lot of the bugs are too sporadic to reproduce reliably anyway.

;) notice the giant warning at the beginning.

Sadly the option to add a mod is not an option to people wanting the option on a server, or for the server without requiring it's players to download and install the mod.

If Infinity still had Aroma Core in that wouldn't matter, as Uncomplication would only needed to be added server side for the E-net effects to work. Shame it doesn't anymore.
