What is the bug:
Verssion 2.3.0 (I couldn't pick this in the bug report drop-down) includes the new version of Botania which removes mana petals. This disables recipes in expert mode that used mana petals, including the anointing paste from witchery which is needed for early magic progression. (http://botaniamod.net/changelog.php R1.8 238 ) There's a new thing called mana powder that might substitute.

Can it be repeated:
Yes. Update modpack to 2.3.0 and anointing paste has no recipe in NEI, and you are unable to make mana petals for it by throwing them on a mana pool.
Known Fix:
Quick fix: replace the new version of botania in the mod folder (Botania r1.8-246.jar) with version r1.7-237 (Botania r1.7-237.jar), which is the latest before removing mana petals and was in the previous version of Infinity Evolved.
