1.9.0: server start error dire pack 1.7.10

Before I start I will say I have never posted on a forum for assistance before; so I greatly apologize if I do anything wrong. Also I will let you know that I am using a Mac.

Currently I am trying to make a server for me and my friends to play Direwolf20 1.7.0 on. I am using the recommended build of (1.9.0) I have also already managed to port-forward.

I would post my logs here, but it seems like the whole thing is filled with Warns & Errors. So I will provide a Pastebin link to them. http://pastebin.com/p1X8mbLK

Also informing you I removed the part that says the name of my computer at the beginning for the directory for privacy reasons.

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated, and I hope I can get this running soon so I can enjoy the game with my friends.

Okay I'd like to post an update, after much searching I found out my java was not updated, and after trying and seeing it wouldn't update. I had to update my system to El Capitan. Now that I've updated it seems like the server works (Logs in case needed http://pastebin.com/2U5wHJaz )

Yet my friends are still not able to make a connection.

I've Port Forwarded, but sites are saying that the port is not open and a connection cannot be made. Any insight into this would also be appreciated.
