Badlands in Biomes o Plenty 1.6.2 has a Badlands biome full of stained clay. BoP also already has sunflowers.

Well, i don't have a problem staying in 1.5.2 for a time... I really hate MC 1.6 and above.

Apparently 1.7 is doubling the amount of biomes. Also, there are two new trees so far: redwood (2x2 spruce) and cherry. This update will probably mean world resets for everyone.

Partly because they are a major segment of the player base...?

And seriously, we have 16 bit textures, simple graphics, silly mobs and giant arse building blocks. Isn't that how we STARTED? :p

Aside from that, there is a tremendous difference in surface-level gameplay and deep gameplay. Someone came up with a horse-activated door that only opens when you're riding one. The crazy redstone contraptions alone go without saying for complexity. :D

Why complain just to complain? :confused:

You can just throw every other Minecraft version out the window if you're viewing it like that.

"Yay, I have webstpone! I can do wiers an' stufs! Yay!"

"Yay, black destructive demons assembled from the heads of withered souls from hell! Yay, this is a hapy kidz games1!11!"

"Yay, pigiez and red rwocks! Pigiez!"


If you're going to take random bias against Mojang for no apparent reason then people don't have any reason to respect your opinion.

Don't look at the theme, look at what it provides. Horses are great early to midgame sources of transportation, sunflowers will have use/decorative purpose, clay allows for some much smoother choices of color. Vanilla's been needing some new biomes for quite awhile. I don't exactly care (and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one) what they add, as long as what they add is useful in some way.

i just thinking the sunflowers are wasted coding time, and the horses are just not for me.

Well if you consider from a vanilla perspective the reason given for sunflowers, which will ALWAYS be facing east, then it is not a waste at all. Perhaps inconsequential to most of us in modded worlds, but the same can be said to a large degree for vanilla features overall. For vanilla though, it's a direction indicator that can be relied upon.

And it just occurred to me that MC mods give a vague Firefly feel with magic thrown in, moreso with horses. Or for those familiar, RIFTS by Palladium. ;)

I cannot state my opinion about the new updates. I updated to 15 because of the redstone changes. I have no reason to update to 16. 17 Comes out and kids will whine for hours
1.6 : "STUPID MOJANG THEY RIPD OF HORESES FROM MOOOOOOCREATRS"
1.7 : "STUPID MOJANG THEY RIPD OF HORESES FROM BIOMMMZZZOPLENTY"
It happened with cauldrons. It happened with hoppers. It happened with Pistons. It happened with horses. It will happen with redwood trees.

A new update, splendid, hopefully the additions will be of "decent" quality. I have my suspicions they are only revealing the secondary inconsequential features to lower the communities' expectations, and then reveal the new, oh-so awesome primary features that this update may or may not have.
