Here's the struggle. I have no idea what pack to play. Because there is no official Feed The Beast 1.7 packs, but there's a hell of a lot of them on the ATLauncher, such as the DNS Techpack and Resonant Rise 3.
So what do I play? Anybody got ideas? Lasting gameplay without GT and with Simply Jetpacks and the usual tech.
One more thing, I have not a CLUE how to use AE2, something that may require intense creative testing, but does anybody have like a link to a guide?

With item / block ids basically being a thing of the past, adding the mods you want yourself isn't that time consuming. It does take a while if you want to go through and tidy up ore gen, etc. but not that much. For 1.7.10 I did my own modpack using the vanilla launcher with Forge.

If you are several players on a server, you might want to avoid this solution though. Hopefully Forge client provisioning will be here some day.
