Every time I have installed a 1.7.10 pack it starts with 0 mods installed not even forge. I launch it again and it installs the mods. I can play them and it/s only a small hassle but just wanted to let you know/ask if it also happens to you.
That is what happens when the download craps out. Make sure under options/advanced options and your download location is set to CurseCDN see if that helps
