What is the bug:
You can make a slab furnace with 8 cobblestone. I thought this would go against the spirit of needing compressed cobblestone to start with a furnace.

From watching the streams that is on purpose, and it was supposed to be like, instead of a coal burning 8 items it would burn 6.
Don't know if that works, but you will still need to make the furnace for other recipes
