Shadow Chapter is designed to be a medium-difficulty modpack. It is carefully balanced to make is difficult both early and late game. There are many option that can be chosen while playing. For example: If don't like Gregtech you can use Rotarycraft or thermal expansion to be the powerhouse for refining ores.
