alright, so, I've been inspired to make a modpack as of late and my last attempt ended in failure, so I'd like to start again.
The last one was called Lost Worlds, and it turned into a massive pack with like absolutely EVERY mod out there, something I did not like. Feeling battered and beaten, I stoped working on the project, however, I'm inspired once more to go at it.
F.A.T.E. stands for Farming Arcane Technological Exploration and it starts in a pocket dimension from dimensional doors. I want to have mods that focus on large multi-block structures as they take up space and fill in the pocket dimension (and they are fun to mess with). the big mod that is the keystone for all of this will be Dimensional Doors (thus why it is in 1.6.4 and not 1.7.x) I was tempted to wait until DD gets updated to 1.7.x so I can use Lore Expansion (a mod I'd love to have in here to spice up the story of the pack and express the lore I want to express) however, I'd also like to actually release the pack. I'd like a little input on what new dimensional dungeon rooms to add, and stuff like that. here's a list of the mods planned for the pack (I've got perms I don't have perms I asked for perms)
Most of the mods are probably pretty obvious on where they go in what path, and there are a few that go on a combined path. I would like a little help with this pack, I can already tell it's going to be a fairly big undertaking (even with just id conflicts). The big thing I'd like is some feedback on what recipes should be, or what I should add to the dimensional dungeons. I could also use a little help with the Quest Book and quest progression. This is my first (basically) mod-pack, and I'd like it to be worth while. I'd like a little input on what mods I should add/remove and why, what good mod interactions are, and such. The main reason for asking for help is that I honestly don't exactly know what I'm doing, I understand what should work, what shouldn't, and how to make custom recipes (mostly) and tweaking configs. My biggest wall is going to be the quest book. So, yeah, I know I can do a good job on my own, but it'll take some time and might not be as good as I'd like. anywho, I'll be working on this project when I can and keep all of you updated.
