Unix 1.6.4 direwolf20 1.0.12: Idle server has high cpu load

Description of the problem:

I am not sure if it is a real problem, but our server uses around 25% CPU time even when idling.
The server runs an Athlon 64 X2 6000+ processor and has plenty of RAM.
I am not very familiar with running a server yet, so maybe that's normal and everything is fine.
Any comments or questions for further details?

The x2 is an old cpu. What is it like when not idling?

Hm, there are only 2-3 people playing at same time and then the CPU load is between 60 and 80 percent.

As log as the server is able to keep up then I wouldn't worry to much and just keep an eye on it. The x2 series of cpu's were released between 2007 and 2008 so nearly 6 years old.
