1.5.2 Beta pack question

Well so far optifine hasn't caused any problems for me. Even if there is no improvement from installing it there shouldn't be any problems
 
I wouldn't say its caused any problems I just don't see the point in installing it if it doesn't increase the fps, which is one thing it claims to do.
 
Not sure if this is still the case in 1.5.2, but in ultimate 1.4.7 the MPS helmet makes the overlay disappear. You can still toggle it on/off, but can't actually see it until you remove the helmet.

I install it for eonncected textures random mobs and the particle options I like to fine grain tuning of my stuff
