Open 1.4.1: 1.5.1 Flickering CPU usage, from 5 to 90+

What is the bug:
At every 10 seconds interval, the stops responding with a 90+ cpu usage on task manager, then it works again for 10 seconds, but then the same thing keeps happening over and over.

How much ram did you allocate to minecraft?

Sounds like the Mystcraft profiling issue. I can't play this pack because of it.
As a test, remove Mystcraft and create a new world. Bet you it will be fine.

Mystcraft profiling runs only once, afaik. This sounds more like garbage collection issues, so either too much, or too little memory. Try somewhere between 2 and 4 gigs.

Mystcraft pollings take a serious long time but it only needs to be run once. If anything just turn on your game and idle for an hour then return.
