I'm having the same issue. I'm glad I'm not the only one just for the simple fact that hopefully it isn't on my end but something that can be fixed.
Offline mode is much more important for my situation as I have a VERY limited bandwidth connection here so "always on" isn't an option for me. Launching a game works fine while online but once I reach the Yes/No dialog for launching offline, it just stops. I can press "Yes" again and it runs though the same lines in the log (see below) over and over again for each time I press "Yes". If I watch Task Manager, another javaw.exe pops up then proceeds to close immediately.

Pressing "No" closes the dialog but only grants me an error in the log.

As OP, I have the 1.3.2 launcher and I'm attempting to launch FTB Unleashed. Offline use to work fine before I updated, though I cannot say which version that was. If it helps, it was a version around 1.1.0 of Unleashed as that is the one I'm playing currently. Launching other pre-downloaded mod packs offline does the same thing.
Other Specs:
Windows Vista SP2 (64x)
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_25-b17) (64x)
I would assume that this probably won't be high priority given the large percentage of users that have internet access all the time, I understand. But if I could be pointed in the direction of an archive of older versions of the launcher, I would be happy to find one that works for me.
