When Nether Diamond is placed in Grindstone, Macerator or Pulverizer the end product is diamond dust from IC2.

Yes,
create a new world and you will see in NEI that the only recipes for Nether Diamond ore for Grindstone, Macerator or Pulverizer is diamond dust from IC2

This is supposed to happen as far as I'm aware, a partial fix is smelting THEN pulverising, be careful as this also happens for lapis

Its not a bug this was done on purpose. The design of neither ores is to smelt them and the for ores i.e. diamond ore lapis and redstone.

Just to throw this in here.. Is it a bug perhaps that the Ender IO Alloy Smelter only provides 1x of each Nether Ore when smelted as opposed to 2x from every other method of smelting?

The ender io alloy smelter uses the same recipe as the vanilla furnace.

Hrhm, nevermind I guess, vanilla and alloy smelter both give 2 but the recipe for the alloy showed one..
