Open 1.2.0: Cannot Make Steel in Induction Smelter

What is the bug:
You cannot place both iron (or any form of iron dust) in the Induction Smelter along with pulverized coal (or any other version of it) simultaneously, therefore making steel with it is uncraftable despite the configs saying this recipe is enabled and it being visible in NEI. Apart from this, the induction smelter functions as normal.

Yes. It is constant.

Make sure you dont have a resource pack. The GUI changed and there is a new button that locks one of the induction smelter inputs.
