Harvest Festival is a mod heavily inspired by the Harvest Moon series of games. Adding crops and animals, that need to be cared for in order to make the most out of them. Village and relationship building with the introduction of new npcs and the builder, who will help you build a town for the people, as well as guide you on your way. Also adding seasons that affect day length, daily weather, cooking and a new way to mine.

Warning: Harvest Festival by default makes vanilla crops useless AND prevents water from spreading (this can be configured)

Getting Started
To get started you are going to need to summon the Harvest Goddess. Once you summon her, there is an option for a tutorial, this will guide you through the rest of the mod. In order to summon the goddess you will need to do the following:

So, how will the town be planned to be build? Locked on a single world? Generating a random town would be hard.
And how about the land settings? Will it be free? Or a sort of payment for each chunk?

The way it's planned to work, is you'll start off with nothing, but you'll be able to spawn the harvest goddess, who will after doing somethings for her, give you a blueprint for a carpenters house, you'll use this blueprint to mark somewhere out for the house to go, once you place it, the carpenter will arrive and start building it. Once it's finished, his sister will move in, and you'll be able to get some starter seeds from her by doing somethings. The carpenter will then be able to build you further buildings, the first building he'll offer you is the general store, since it's fairly important, next is the animal ranch and poultry farm, for buying sheep/cows and chickens. Eventually as you progress further on, doing more tasks for the new people, you'll unlock more buildings, and get the whole village built via the carpenter. The buildings are planned to cost money, logs and stone. Obviously cheaper at the start.

You can have multiple towns per world, they'll just need to be a certain distance between each other to count as a different town. Although there really wouldn't be any difference between them, it's more for servers. Eventually I'd like to have different storylines and town types, but that would be a long time off, as everything I have to do is already a lot of work.

At least that's the general idea currently, obviously how you progress or get started, can change, but the core of the carpenter building new buildings and people moving in is there for a bit.

There are still some improvements, and a few issues to solve, but it is mostly playable.
Feedback on costs/time. Or how you think things would work better instead would be really appreciated. Questions welcome too.
The NPCs should be able to guide you through the other basics. But this is what you'll need to know to get started.

Is there a guide somewhere as to what to do? I found a video that showed how to summon the goddess but now she wants me to bring her logs but I don't understand how to give them to her???? Would be nice to have a guidebook of some sort. Just a suggestion. ****EDIT*** oh nevermind after I summoned her again she detected the logs. Looks great so far!

I need help with the mod. I'm using the miricle potions on the cow and im waiting and waiting and nothing is happening. i even went on a test world to see how long it takes and nothing happened after 2 seasons. I kept giving it potions and i kept feeding it and taking care of it but it won't have a baby. how do i do it?

Does anyone know how to repair the buildings? I kinda let a fire start in a nearby jungle summoning the Wither, then it burnt down half of the Cafe. NPCs would respawn the next day if they died, but not sure about buildings. How can I rebuild/repair the thing?

What I noticed about the buildings is that they act as one-time summons for particular NPCs. That means that, technically, you could tear down the building and they'll just keep gravitating to their spawn point.

That does mean that you can expand and renovate as long as you keep their behavior in mind.

Yeah... I don't actually care about the NPCs, cus' I pretty much got everything I needed from the Cafe, but can I reapir it, or can I completely demolish it and place a new blueprint? I tried placing a new blueprint while it was already there and it says i don't have the permission to build. I think if I do demolish the other thing, build anew one in the exact same spot, can I place it then? I noticed that harvest festival doens't support building two buildings of the same type, even if you're in creative. Thanks for your reply tho

Well, I tried using the potion on one cow, but I actually have two, and after a while it just spawns in two baby cows, so, I guess it would work if you only had one. Give it a few days and a new baby should spawn

Go ahead and repair the building. As for summoning duplicates, I believe it's tied to the existence of the NPCs.
