The problem I have with all 1.10.2 modded packs that i play will eventually slow down my pc badly, all previous modpacks 1.7 and down were perfect. I've allocated 4gb to the 1.10 packs and a little more to see if that did anything and still the same issue. i've updated java, my graphics driver, I don't have a lot running on my pc except a chrome window along with minecraft and it takes forever for my computer to recover from me having to force close minecraft because it stops responding. if curious to what certain modpacks i play they are currently direwolf 20's latest pack and hermit pack. I don't know what else to do.

Install foamfix, try using a smaller pack, and try allocating 6gb of ram. There was also a Reddit post recently about garbage collection and some advanced Java arguments.

Any chance you could link that discussion? Our server is skipping small numbers of ticks regularly, and I'm pretty sure it's GC related.

Worked for me when foamfix did little (180+fps stable). I was having a periodic 5 second lurch to 0 fps after an hour so of play. Those java arguments smoothed everything out.

He beat me to it. I should note that if you use the Curse launcher, I would check the MC launcher profile the first few times and make sure they're there.
