About
SeriousVanilla is a lightweight modpack that tries to stay true to vanilla as much as possible. A lot of the added mods are mostly just utility or overall improvements. I want to keep the game balanced around vanilla, which means there won't be any special weapons or armor that would make the player more powerful.

So this is kind of like a more updated Vanilla+? Gonna try this one out

EDIT: Gonna try it if/when you put it on FTB, but i'm gonna follow this one as it seems like just what i want. (Yea, i'm too lazy to put together my own modpack, besides sometimes a long time goes by without me playing MC, which usually means there's a ton to update, lol.)

The FTB Launcher has been deprecated in favor of the curse launcher, so I'm not expecting him to put it in the FTB Launcher.

Daaamn, i must have missed some real important changes, lol. Curse launcher it is then.

EDIT: I liked the FTB launcher better i think. Less intrusive and just did it's job without being overly fancy.

Curse launcher is also a lot easier if you are making a modpack. Didn't know FTBLauncher was been deprecated, good to know!

And yes, this is vailla with some extra mods that i think still fit into vanilla. Diamond tools are still the top tier to keep the balance in check as well

Gonna try the pack as soon as i'm finished transferring worlds, custom-made files, options and such, and after i work out how the curse launcher really works.
It doesn't actually seem that bad of a client, but i'd wish there was a slimmed down theme to it, since minecraft mods is all i will be using it for and don't really give a crap about "Steam"-like social options.

Bloody frickin'ell that was a hassle, having the client crap out on me when it came to automatic downloading of the mods (or maybe there was some quick maintenance thingie going on, since this board also "crapped" out at about the same time, showing a message about it being upgraded, doubt there was an error on my part though, as i could connect just fine to other websites), but i've gotten Vanilla+ now, and managed to transfer my old world, get my custom Bibliocraft-paintings into the new "instance", enable OptiFine (which i use as an extra mod) and importing options was just a matter of copying the option text-files over (options.txt and optionsof.txt).

[Curse] Being a client that seem to be kind of a "gaming for dummies"-book, it sure was annoying to get started with, but now it is hopefully all done, and after some testing all seems to work just as fine as when using the old launcher. It is getting a bit late here in Sweden, so i won't test your modpack today, but i probably will tomorrow.

PS. Again, i am sorry for going way off-topic here, but i just got so damn annoyed i need to get it off my chest. (I'll prolly delete tomorrow if you think it clutters up the thread too much)

Glad you got it figured out in the end! You said you got "Vanilla+", just to make sure, that's not my pack, mine is called different (There is a pack called Vanilla+ i think, not sure if you are refering to that or just calling this pack Vanilla+)!

Yup, i was talking about FTB's own Vanilla+, I am going to try your [Seriously Vanilla] pack tomorrow, i'm looking forward to it :3

EDIT: The mod-pack itself is good, and having the vanilla-vanilla Minecraft features from the new updates is nice, but something with this pack makes my game stutter about around every second or so, and i can for the life of me not figure out what. (Tried with and without OptiFine, disabled mods like JourneyMap, tried lowering settings ((even though i shouldn't have to), and nothing seems to work.)

Do you or anyone else have any idea?
