Open 1.1.0: Is anyone else suddenly getting distant terrain generation when making a new world?

What is the bug:
For some reason, when I just made a new world, I noticed that off in the distance there was terrain. In a square all around me, except for one chunk of the square border that was empty. There was also basalt scattered across bedrock level closer to me. Absolutely no clue how this happened. I made another new world just to make sure it wasn't a one-off thing, and, sure enough, the same thing happened. Literally exactly the same as it was before.

Make sure you are playing the FTB Infinity Evolved Skyblock version 1.0.2 or higher. Version 1.0.0 was a 1st april joke and doest actaully generate a void world but instead bring a map like you described
