Version:
1.0.2

What is the bug:
I'm playing local SP.

When i start the game i get 100 fps stable (beacause i limited that way). Over time i start to get stutering and lag opening chest and so on.

5 minutes later its going from 80 fps to 30, the 5 to 100.... completely unplayable.

It's not my world because:

I leave the game then restart the client. Works fine again until the problem starts maybe 30 minutes later.

Tried java 7 and 8... diferents ammounts of ram, diferents parameters....
Can't figure it out.

Mod & Version:

Mate, we are having the same problem. We are about 10 people simultaneously on our server, and 9 out of 10 are having lag issues and frame drops.

As the server admin I tryed a few things, but nothing worked.

When I for myself enter the game I start with about 160 FPS. As long a I stand still everythings is okay, but as soon as I move the frames drop and the cpu usage gets up to 100%, and it won't drop until I restart the client. It's not enough to login and log out, as even the main menu is lagging.

I tryed a few things:

Tryed Java 7 & 8 (7 was even worse)
Disabled JourneyMAp (in the FTB-Launcher)
I disabled AromaBackup & Core
I installed Fastcraft on the Server and the Client
I added several arguments to java in the launcher
We tryed MultiMC
[...]

The problem stays the same. Sometimes some of us are having low FPS even when they just logged in.

The server itself is running very smoothly. No problems, no errors in the log. Also the same frame drops are repeatable in SP.

The PC of the most of us should be okay. I am using a quad core with 3,2 Ghz each core and 16 GB RAM. I even tryed running MC from my SSD.

Don't know if it's just us, or anything else. If I watch Direwolfs youtube vids it seems, that he doesn't have any problems.

To me it looks like some kinda memory leak or something like this...

Yes.... that's exactly the simptoms i am experiencing.

Yesterday i disabled journey maps also. And i got a good 4h without the FPS stuttering... Today i activated Opios minimap... and started all again after 30-40min.
The problem seems to be some kind of file related, not rendering graphics because it will go as high as 100 fps (in my machine) just to sink to a woping 5 fps.... it must be somekind of memory issue yes.

i'm also running a 4.4Ghz cpu, with 16gb of farly fast ram.... allocating 3.5gb to the client ofc.

if someone comes up with a workaround the issue, plz post it here.

tks

Ok, i don't know if its this or not... i don't really get the console because when i leave the game it quits.

I went to the ftb folder under dw20 pack... and found a folder named logs, i guess its there:

The log has 5mb lol.... so, no pastebin. But i guess i found what (to me) it seems to be the problem. The log is full of stuff like this:

Well. I guess you are right, i went around and found a big hole (missing chunk), reloaded the client, went back up, and it still was there.

I didn't do the whole Fenixin Minecraft-region-fixer, because its a little complicated. And because the missing chunck was a few chunks away from my base, i deleted the missing chunk and around also, 9 chunks in total all with MCedit.

Went back up, the game recreated the missing chunks, and it played beautifully for the past 2h ish. Its all fine and dandy now.

Thank you very much.
Merry Christmas.

Hi there i had same problemon my server and client !

1. On serverside it was aromabackup causing the server to use 100% CPU after first autobackup. You have to stop the schedule for autobackup in Aroma.cfg

2. Client side issue is to uncheck a box in options at FTB launcher "Use Optimization Arguments for fast computers?"

After i had done these i am able to play now stable. I reach 140 FPS with Soartex Resourcepack.
Could you please very if it is working for you too ? If so this could be very useful for the further development.

Bye

I actually am playing with that ''fast computers arguments'' turned on (i only see your reply now). I will turn it back off just to see if i notice any diference.
I'll reply later.
But:

Have been playing for the last 4 or 5 days without a single hikup. 200+ FPS, with regular ''exploring'' and running around.
Actually i can add that (without counting with this corrupted chunk problem) this was so far the best MC gaming experience i had so far (been playing since '11). The game is so smooth now.

Its like a proper wine, give it some time, age will only make it better. :D

I have the same problem but there is no chunk problem and my Use Optimization ect. is desactivated. When I start my map, it's spamming that in the console:

That mess that keeps spamming is on my end too. You might have to disable NEK till we figure out what's wrong.

Right.... but certain amounts seem to do odd things to Java. Could you be more specific?
