What is the bug:
Got myself a Well of Suffering, activated it, placed a blaze spawner under it.
The ritual does not damage what so ever. The altar is close enough (i believe)

Altar isn't close enough. The horizontal range is lacking for the ritual, so it should be above or below the altar. Not directly above or below, but around 15 blocks.
