1.0.1: DW20 1.0.1 - AE2 Quartz Fiber bug

What is the bug:
The Quartz Fiber cables from AE2, meant to transfer only power, don't seem to be working. I have copied a build using them to power a p2p network in FTB unstable to my DW20 world, and it is broken. I have definitely concluded that the system lacks power, and have tested that the quartz fiber doesn't seem to be doing its job.

Can anyone confirm or deny this? Or has their been a change in the mod that no longer supports this mechanic?

Please post screenshot(s) of the problem as without we can't help.
I tested both FTB unstable and DW20 and in both I could build a really complex p2p-subnetwork-system using only one power-source by using quartz-fibers to transfer power.
